About SacYouth Elevate
SacYouth Elevate is a culturally and linguistically responsive platform for refugee, immigrant, and other marginalized youth ages 12–26 in Sacramento County. It connects substance-use prevention education with trusted relationships, peer leadership, cultural belonging, youth voice, and civic action.
Youth are not passive recipients. They learn, investigate community conditions, interpret evidence, select a prevention priority, design public education, and lead a policy, systems, or environmental change initiative.
Program Framework
SacYouth Elevate translates established youth-development and substance-use prevention principles into a practical community platform. Its features support youth leadership, protective factors, culturally responsive prevention, community participation, systems change, and measurable outcomes—while remaining adaptable to multiple programs and funding opportunities.
The Civic Action Lab documents how youth identify an issue, gather evidence, select a change target, develop an action, engage decision-makers, and monitor institutional response.
Structured connections with trained adults and older youth reduce isolation and strengthen belonging, future orientation, and access to trusted prevention guidance.
Youth ambassadors complete leadership training, facilitate prevention learning, develop multilingual campaigns, and create spaces where lived experience informs community action.
Interactive learning addresses substance-use knowledge, stigma, trauma, cultural identity, social connection, school and community engagement, and help-seeking behavior.
Stand-alone listening tools collect anonymous youth priorities and reflections each year. Results inform—without predetermining—the youth council’s decisions.
The impact dashboard tracks unduplicated participants, prevention knowledge, leadership confidence, youth reach, activities, listening sessions, and progress toward P.S.E. outcomes.
SacYouth Elevate provides education, mentoring, peer leadership, civic engagement, and navigation to appropriate resources. The platform does not provide clinical counseling, diagnosis, therapy, substance-use treatment, or clinical case management.

Open a module to learn, view its supporting sources, and access downloadable materials. ACE staff can add new modules, upload learning files, or connect learners to trusted external sources.
